Week #4 Highlights

Pee Wee Division:

First Game – Pee Wee Orange ( Saveology.com) : Justin Mosley Scored on 2 long touchdown runs behind solid lead blocking by Mike Molle and Ben Tabari. On Defense Ryan Kahlman was in the backfield disrupting plays along with Gavin and Jackson Romanowski.

First Game – Pee Wee Silver (Rappaport, Osbourne, Rappaport Law Firm): We scored 3 rushing TDs (Max Hirsch, Zach Stevens & Ty Stevens). The Silver Pee Wees held East Boca scoreless. We gave up only two first downs on Defense. CJ Perez (TE) CJ contributed solid blocking on the line and excellent containment as backup CB. CJ also kicked two perfect on side kicks. We recovered both of them. Blake Finizio (C) did a GREAT job snapping the ball and taking on the D line. Even direct snaps to the 2 Back, which we hardly practiced, were right on target. Noah Michaelson (CB/RG) great open field tackles and non-stop push on the line. Noah substituted all game on offense for Mikey McGrath (who was celebrating his birthday) and held strong as RG. Laurent Odate (LG/NG) shut down the middle and provided solid blocking against the rush. Elan Warren (RT/DE) broke open huge holes for our running backs, made a big tackle and caused the opposing team to shake in their cleats.Devon Spring (RB/DE) solid all around performance on both sides of the ball, including a great carry and BIG sack. Zach Stevens (RB/LB) countless tackles, great blitzing, big carries and a 30 yd + touchdown run. Recovered 1 on side kick.

Freshman Division:
American Bancard 20 VS. East Boca Dolphins 0
Noah Fairbanks rushed for 2 TDs, Sawyer Sethman had a long touchdown run and an interception on defense. Billy Stricker kicked an extra point. Our defense was led by Bryce Simon and Chase Thompson. The offensive line did a great job!

Hurricane Grill & Wings 18 VS. East Boca Seminoles 0

Will Frith took the opening kick-off untouched 60 yards for a score. The play was opened up by paralyzing blocks by both Daniel Coehlo and Chase Brigucci, setting the corner so that William had a clear path to the end zone. Today’s game in the rain was all about controlling the line of scrimmage. Whoever controlled the line of scrimmage was going to dominate the game and the Silver Dragon’s offense of line was up to the task. Affectionately known as the Salty Dawgs, they played just that way: Salty! The line, consisting of Maxwell Metzger, Xavier Cardenas, Nathan Alexis, Joshua Weidlich and Cameron Dunn, came in to the game angry after last week’s overtime loss and the Seminoles paid the price. The Salty Dawgs opened up big holes on both sides of the line allowing Christian Opalsky and Justin Guilfu to score from 10 and 15 yards, respectively. The defense, led by defensive tackles Jake Kagno and Joseph Zapata Jr., came up big once again. Not allowing a single completion and minimal rushing yards on the ground. Overall, a second solid week for the entire unit.

Junior Varsity Division:

West Boca Metals 26 VS. East Boca Lions: 6
Maxwell Mazur (O-line) stepped up when called upon and the O-line moved the team downfield to four (4) TDs. Anthony Molle (2TDs) and Brennan Corey (2TDs). Defense: Patrick Consbruck, Jonathan Swartz, and Chris Kerr were standouts at the LB positions completely closing down the middle of the field. Jarred Bock and Ethan Davis sealed the ends. The overall result was a dominating defensive performance!
